I remember back when Mizzou was added to the SEC, and folks were calling into Pawl pissed off. They were saying even West Virginia fit better and Pawl stoked it on by agreeing.

So this is what they call smack talk in the Big 12?
The moral equivalent of bragging about beating Kentucky.....
The thing is this....in the conferences that UT and OU have belonged to prior to 2024 Missouri was pretty competitive. They were as good as it got with a couple of exceptions every year. That experience coupled with the fact that Missouri won the east twice have provided false hope that the SEC is similar to the Big 8, Big12 or SWC in any way, shape, form or fashion. Outside of Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska every other team in the Big 8, Big12 or SWC was a rent a win program for SEC teams from the top to the far side of the middle tier SEC teams. The reason those 3 are considered blue bloods is because outside of one another they played NO ONE on an annual basis.
The top 6 winningest teams in the SEC have won an average of 854 games. That would place those 6 teams 12th all time in wins. The top 6 of the Big8 won on average 809, the top 6 of the Big12 won 814 and the top 6 of the SWC won 672. The top 6 of the Big 12 includes Texas and OU or that number would be identical to the Big8 without Texas. It illogical to think that, if any of the other 5 in the top 6 of the SEC, combined with Alabama, and facing similar competition to what OU, UT and Nebraska faced in their respective conferences annually, that Alabama would not be the winningest program in the country and either UGA, Auburn, Tennessee LSU or Florida would not be #2. When your season consists of playing 1-2 teams with a pulse you are going to win more than you would when your season consists of playing 3-5 teams with a pulse. It is also illogical to imagine UGA, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU or Florida playing the schedules that UT, OU and Nebraska played and not being in the top 2-3 winningest programs....3 of the top 10 and 4 of the top 13 in one conference and 2 of the top 10 from another? Its never been close. There have been years of course, OU and UT and Nebraska have been exceptionally good at times....but they have also enjoyed very light schedules most years.

You may have made Columbia, Missouri, your cup of tea.....but, you won't find the taste so pleasant when you go to The Cockpit in Columbia, South Carolina.
You don't ever take anything for granted when you go visit those birds in THAT Columbia!
Or the other Bulldogs in Starkevegas. Or even the damned Wildcats in Kentucky. Playing there once a year or one of those teams in a bowl game is vastly different that catching one of them between LSU and Auburn.....without a BYE.....

They are not warning you of CoMo slick .... they're warning you about the Brick City, the Capital City ... Columbia, SC. You'll find out soon enough.
Come on now.
Columbia South Carolina is, historically, a tougher road game than Columbia Missouri for everyone in the SEC. The toughest thing about Columbia Missouri is getting there....once that is accomplished winning is not a hard thing to do....

You know what else Stinger_1066? As soon as a game is played with each of our conference mates, the all time records come back to life as if never a pause.
Texas will continue the beatdown of aggy and hawgs likewise OU over mizzou. Don't know about OUs record against the league, but Texas will continue owning all time wins on all except Vanderbilt and South Carolina.
Stinger, you know it, I know it, and the rest of the league knows it. Just a matter of time before Texas and OU destroy that league grind nonsense.

I don't even disagree but just leave them to it. Let them get all gassed up because they poached a guard and caused OU to only go 4/5 on top DL targets the past year. Spending all that money and still under 50% blue chips in the SEC. Sooner or later this BS scheduling is finally going to flip on them.

There's been football outside the Saban era.
SEC AP titles post-WWII
Alabama - 12
Oklahoma - 7
Texas, Florida, Georgia, LSU - 3
Auburn, Tennessee - 2

News flash: It's not the 1950's anymore. Mizzou has been toughened up by the SEC.
How'd that last visit to Columbia go for OU?

Mmm-kay. The maddest I've ever been watching a Mizzou game was Kirby's first year when Odom let the fat transitioning fricker off the hook in Columbia. That loss was the fitting introduction to BO's entire tenure at Mizzou. "We had them where we wanted and let 'em off the hook!"

Talent and depth make a difference in a 4 quarter game. The Citadel had Alabama topped for nearly a half in 2018......in Tuscaloosa.
On a side note how many coke machines and windows were broken during that halftime tirade??? I bet it was AWESOME.....
