For the love of God, let LSU out of the UF game, let everyone else keep their permanents, then maybe we can stop talking about this

The funny thing is that LSU was being a pussy for not speaking up during the cross-over scheduling, and now they being a pussy for speaking up about cross-divisional matchups.
So which is it? Should everyone just sit down and shut up and keep their opinions on scheduling to themselves? Isn't that being a pussy?
I like having UF as a yearly game, but I would like to see LSU play UT and UGA more often. 9 games seems like the solution - if it doesn't mean no more OOC BCS games.

I'm not calling him a pussy. I'm saying give him what he wants. UF and LSU aren't rivals, so if LSU really thinks it's unfair for them to play every year, then drop the game. Problem solved

Youre a dumbass. Everyone is for, or should be, for playing a nine game conference schedule.
I disagree. That ninth game makes for an uneven conference slate in home/away matchups... maybe if the neutral site game for everyone was allowed it would make it more fair.
I think the "roommate switch" is a great idea and keeps the 8-game schedule and makes plenty of marquee matchups (and minimizes dud games because one of the traditional powers is in a lull). Coming from the Big 12 where they always made sure that we had OU, maybe Nebraska or Kansas State and of course t.u. at the end of the year all bunched together, the SEC is on to something with the late year OOC matchup at home. Don't change that!
The extra game hurts SEC overall records compared to the other conferences. Like the big 12 and the old Pac 10, one team's success will be another's failure in the rankings, bowl selections, etc. It's cannibalistic. It also minimizes content available for the SEC Network - those home OOC games are property of the SEC, and having two SEC teams play only yields one game to air that week instead of possibly two (both teams playing home OOC games.)

Les is pandering to his fan base. Y'all should know after his reaction to the Bama rematch that he DNGAF about who he plays.

I love how nobody responds to my post and instead just keeps flaming.
16 teams and a playoff will justify a change in scheduling.
It has nothing to do with playing UF and everything to do with the expansion and the new post season format.
Be smarter.

Funny that when Saban is on national TV proclaiming how his team deserves to be in national championship games without even winning anything its just Saban sticking up for his guys and doing his job, but now that Miles is being a pussy and is trying to get them the easiest path to a title game, he's a pussy.

I'm sure schedules will change if we expand to 16 but who knows if and when that will happen

Like others have said, a 9 game conference schedule would be a big help in evening out the schedules. I know the teams that struggle to get to 6 wins and bowl eligibility wouldn't like it, but if you schedule 3 cupcakes you would only have to go 3-6 in conference to be bowl eligible.
Sure, losing some interesting OOC matchups would suck, but it's worth it for 1 extra interesting conference game and a more fair scheduling format.
Not sure why having 4 conference home games and 5 conference away games per year is such a big deal. It would rotate right back the next year. Also, teams could adopt a neutral site contest and do 4 home, 4 away, 1 neutral every year.

Are all of you clowns this fricking dumb?
Do you really think LSU "wants out" of the UF game? Is that what you think the end game is here?
I, along with every other LSU fan I know, would be livid if we dropped the UF game every year. That's not the point.
Some of you are just incapable of grasping anything
