When the hell did .754 winning percentage become mediocre?

It's not at the level of the ten year war between Schembechler and Hayes yet, but I would say that Miles in particular has that in mind as a legacy to try to live up to.

Love this rivalry and have always thought of Miles as a great coach, thus not suprised at Saban not having a winning record against him...

I think Les Miles is a good coach. If Saban wasn't at Bama and I had to choose a coach currently in the SEC, I would choose Lester.

Cholly Mac won 70% of his games FWIW.
They also had less games then.

If you lived through the 70s and was always coming out 2nd, 3rd or 4th, you would know what I mean. In the 80s we did improve, but Archer / Curley killed all of that. You know the rest of the story.

what does any of that have to do with your statement that LSU is "going into mediocrity"?

Bama fans, does it annoy you that Saban doesn't have a winning record against Miles given all the shite yall give LSU fans about having a better coach, Miles being a moron, etc.

It doesn't bother me one bit. I think that Miles is a good coach. He gets a bad rep sometimes in my opinion for some of his decisions, but thing is, a lot the times the decisions he makes work. They might not be executed to the tee but they work nonetheless. I enjoy a good rivalry and without back and forth wins/losses and without close games I think that the rivalry that may or may not be can become a little stale and not fun. I love college football and love a good rivalry.

If the record was 10-2 last year or 7-5 worse case considering how we played against UNC and WVU, not to mention UF would you still being giving me a lesson on medocrity.
I see HOW we are playing and have been for the past 3 years and do ont like it one bit.
As an LSU fan, probably before you were born, I have a right and a responsibility to gripe about the team that he is preparing when siad team is not performing up to his or our expectations.
That is what I mean.

Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo disagree.

Been sitting in the stands since I was 5 with my old man. I have seen every high and low the last 40 years.

Jake if you love Saban so much just pull for the Tide. Trust me,none of us will miss you one bit.

Oh, by the way, LSU and Miles defeated Alabama and Saban last year, but don't let that get in the way of how badly LSU and Miles suck.

Looking at your posts in the Shepard thread on the Rant it looks like you are hoping something bad happens and potentially your desire for Miles' termination takes place. Great fan.

actually Dinardo was a pretty good coach. He just refused to fire Tepper....who i guess should be considered the idiot in this case

And when Morris Watts left, the wheels really fell off. At least Miles knows when to cut coaches loose, and he does it in a way without "firing" them.

but it wasn't...it was 11-2 with a top 10 finish. You're rewriting history to fit your argument.

11-2, ranked in the top 10 with a bowl game blowout is not up to your expectations? You sound like a 23 year old kid that was on the rant yesterday saying we should AT THE VERY LEAST win the West EVERY year.

and you still haven't explained how we're "going to mediocrity"

Why can't most LSU fans admit this? He wasn't that bad, especially after what LSU had recently been through...

because they've been fed all this bullshite about how Saban supposedly walked into a bare cupboard when he got here.....which couldn't be further from the truth.

Dinardo was a good coach, really good recruiter, but hired shitty assistants and then refused to fire them. That was his downfall

I'm pretty sure Miles was 3-3 against Meyer as well.
Although these stats clearly show that he isn't on their level.
