I don't think there's a single game A&M lost that they would've won had they flown out on Friday instead of Thursday

I get the logic, but only with pro teams full of guys with families and mouths to feed. Two days early with a bunch of 18-20 year olds (many of whom have disposable income we could only dream of as students) is a recipe for trouble, not to mention added financial burden for the school.

Sometimes teams will leave on a Thursday afternoon or evening if it’s a really long trip. I wanna say LSU did that for the Washington game in 2009 but im pretty sure we flew to Syracuse in 2015 the day before.
Traveling to an SEC opponent 2 days before the game is pretty dumb and needless.
