Most women everywhere are overweight now. Sad state of affairs in this country

It has nothing to do with the weather. There isn’t one legitimate reason to travel north to play. The recruiting in the north is trash, weather is trash, cities are trash, and there is a football school every 75 miles here to choose from.

I give you the only reason that matters and that is money. A B1G vs SEC game would be big ratings and more money. The SEC's fear of the north is causing them to leave money on the table.
The home team's media partner owns the broadcasting rights and would greatly increase the values of the next TV contracts.

Again, there is no advantage for an SEC school to play up north. The reason you schedule other power schools is to advertise your program in a particular region. This is why the chic-filet kickoff game is a popular destination for a non-con. It’s why Georgia has scheduled a home and home with UCLA this decade, as well as Texas and Oklahoma before they joined the SEC. We don’t need money from the Big Ten, but the Big Ten needs recruits from the south because they don’t have any.

Agree, reason LSU agreed to play USC in home and home. Talent on west coast.

Generally the Power 5 inter-conference games take place in the early part of the season before cold weather sets in, so all the chest beating about cold weather is irrelevant. In truth, weather conditions for these games when taking place in the South are much harder for the northern teams than the reverse, since weather in early fall is milder in north than heat and humidity early in the season in the South.

I see Ohio State in a lot of playoffs, but I just don’t see them having any success. Why is that exactly?

I will say that the one thing the Big Ten and the SEC have in common is the TV markets, but even those don’t matter as much now with streaming and national broadcast. It’s more about the appeal and popularity of a particular program. I mean hardly anyone lives in Alabama, but they have a national following.

As our former commander-in-chief would say..WRONG! SEC teams would get more exposure playing against B1G schools than little pac schools. Even the kids in LA would watch an Ohio State vs any SEC team.

Ohio State can recruit the south without playing SEC teams. Our brand is so strong that we can do that.

So you think SEC teams aren’t strong enough brands to recruit up North? Ask Joe Burrow, just saying.

Let us forget the money and TV. Wouldn't you rather watch Alabama vs Ohio State than Alabama vs UCLA or UAB?

It was like 25 degrees at our game last night. Someone should explain to him that it get cold other places too.

Five SEC schools have won 14 National titles since the beginning of the BCS era in 1998 until the playoff era. I’m not going to argue the Ohio State brand, because quite frankly, it’s irrelevant down here.

Joe Burrow went south because he could not get a starting job in Columbus. He might've won 2 national titles at Ohio State if he had stayed.

No, southern schools do not have the brands to recruit up here. Kentucky usually gets our scraps.

You would be surprised at how ignorant midwesterners are about climate. One idiot from western PA thought we had palm trees in north Georgia. Just about any night game in November in the south is going to be played in the 30s or 40s.
