Still haven't found anything other than reposting on a few dozen message boards.

Neither Alabama nor Michigan have a recruiting presence in Texas. I guess this makes sense if they WANT to establish one

We've got seven players on the team right now from Texas...how many does it take to have an "established presence"...?

I say again, MICHIGAN thinks that they will be NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP contenders with RICH RODRIGUEZ by then.

Does no one else see the lunacy in this?!

They'll be on sanctions by then from RR.

Bama's won more NC's because of the team concept than the flash in the pan once a decade player that other teams have won them with.

yeah. Bama's only Heisman trophy winner Mark Ingram definitely wasn't a once in a decade player. no doubt they win the MNC last year without him.

Only news report I have found, was from MLIVE.COM.. which is their equivalent to AL.COM. and it's basing it of the Michigan Blog.

Doesn't EVERYONE have fans that think they will be NC contenders every year....?

Hell, you probably did when we had Shula at the helm.

I think the general thought is from every non-Wolverine fan.. "who cares, Rich Rod won't even be there then"

I wasn't a Bama fan then I became an Alabama fan when I decided to accept their scholarship offer and come to school here, in 2008

Uh, pretty sure you made that very argument when bashing Ingram winning the Heisman to begin with...

who cares what i said? i was calling out the hypocrisy of the OP. he contradicted the frick out of himself. unless of course he's willing to say that Ingram wasn't much of a difference-maker.

Well I'm also an Ohio State fan, so I didn't really like LSU or Florida to begin with

umm.. if anyone contradicted themselves, it was you. Bama has always won under a team concept. Ingram was a great player, but when he didn't perform, others stepped up.

I don't understand why a guy has to be a fan of a particular school his whole life in order to call himself a true fan. There are a lot of people from up north who go to Alabama. I am good friends with a guy who grew up in Maryland as a die hard Penn State fan. He's an Alabama fan now and will be cheering for Alabama when they play PSU on September 11.
