No the Bama OL was suppoased to be as good as the Patriots though. Just wondered if they were struggling as bad too.

I remember when lsu was supposed to have the best offensive line evaaaar in 2009, and gave up like 37 sacks or something ridiculous

JJ taking 9 step drops on a 5 or 7 step drop play. Kid NEVER took coaching properly. At the end of his career which spanned starts across four years, the winningest quarterback in LSU History (if I'm not mistaken) could be relied upon-at best-to audible from a left-run to a right-run.

Worst footwork, worst coachability, worst leadership, and worst inability to execute I've ever seen out of that position on a team as dominant as LSU was during his career (41-12 w/only 3 losses combined the last two seasons).

He either wouldn't pull the trigger or wouldn't execute properly & made our OL look atrocious.

Seemed like Alabama was passing the ball more than usual, but it still ended up about 26 passing plays to 25 running plays.

Sack's subtracting from rushing yards are a killer.

reminded me of a game against KY a couple of years ago. We threw the ball a lot, especially deep a lot (relatively speaking) Against Ky, there were some timing issues/miscues that led to a closer game than I wanted (for most of the game)

snapping the ball first doesn't give Jones as much time to hold as he's had the last few years

Who makes the line calls, the center, right? Maybe Barrett can't handle it, and Nickie did not play enough depth last year to avoid this: he was too worried about running up his stat sheets and then sucking up to the pollsters.

If you want to blame someone blame the Sabanator!

Murray does the same thing. I think they are both being coached just to go down under pressure if they don't feel confident in throwing the ball out of bounds without incurring an intentional grounding penalty. If Murray had done this last season, we might not have lost to SC.

If you read the article posted on this board about WKU's gameplan, they knew that Bama would be working on passing this game--specifically the deep ball, and they used that knowledge to their advantage. You use games against inferior opponents almost like a live scrimmage. That is what Alabama did with WKU.

pretty easy to see that you strolled over here from the tiger rant

In all seriousness, Jones can handle it. WKU stunted and blitzed most every play. They took tons of chances (some of which they paid for as seen by the 4 passing TDs). I don't remember too many passing plays where they sent less than 5 rushers. Could be wrong though
