What I was doing clearly went over your head. There's still knee-jerk reactions on here all over the place. You think Bama's talented OL is going to give up 6 sacks every game just because they did against one of the least talented teams on their schedule? No. The thing I was doing was called sarcasm, bud.

Why? Because I typed a lot? How did you get the notion that I'm scared from my post? All I said was that the knee-jerk reactions from both the LSU and Alabama fans were and still are retarded. I'd love for you to tell me how that translates to me being "scared".

snapping the ball first doesn't give Jones as much time to hold as he's had the last few years

Possibly. It was a strange game.WKU had more time of possession and was close in most statistical categories except points.McCarron looked good when he was upright.

Mal Moore's really dropping the ball by not investing in a cloning facility.

They stunted and blitzed most every down

AJ caught them for 4 passing TD's Trade off is we gave up 6 sacks. 2 of those he held the ball way too long instead of throwing it away. 4 of them were missed blocks.

It is what it is. As long as he doesn't get hurt I will take 4 passing TD's against multiple sacks.

Hopefully the film will help some O line guys see where they need to improve.

Y'all's slow, fat line will be holding on for dear life when Bama comes calling.. No different than January.

What fast, lean offensive lineman do you know of?

And LSU D line > Bama D line and it's not even close.

Fluker may have been tipping the other team off on which plays are run...

quote:

One asset: through film study, WKU's found a tell on the Alabama offensive line. The Topper coaches believe Fluker is tipping off which plays are run and which are pass by his posture, with an accuracy of over 90 percent.

"It's nothing big. If you're subtly looking at it, you won't see it. But if you go back and look, run-pass, run-pass, run-pass, there is a difference," defensive line coach Eric Mathies says. "When [offensive lines] have big guys, like big, big guys, they change how they get in their stance. So Fluker's 6'6', 320. When it's run, he'll get down in his three point stance because he's coming off. When it's pass, he's got that right foot back."

Because of this, one-word calls will be made at the line to alert pass or run based on Fluker's footwork.

Plus, A.J. just held the ball too long at times.

It doesn't seem like Alabama ever runs short routes. I don't know if I've seen a slant since Julio

All I have heard about for the entire offseason was bamas OL, as soon as the defense was drafted the OL became the talking point and they are not living up to the hype. But it's early yet, they will get better.

They'll be OK eventually, the run blocking looks good while pass protection needs improvement. Opposite was true last year imo.

I didn't watch the game but from the stats it looked like y'all didn't get much going on the ground and had to pass to move the ball. Was that not the case?

No, I don't think so, it was pass-first for the whole game.

Gotcha. That seems like an odd thing to do when you have young running backs who need carries but hey Bama won 35-0. Hard to argue with the results.
