I prefer cash, FWIW. Keeps me in check. Dropping $300 on something in cash makes you think long and hard whether its worth it.

A pill head. The problem with house parties is that inevitably people will invite other people who will in turn invite other people, and all of a sudden there are a bunch of random sketchy people in your house.

See, for some reason I'm exactly the opposite. If I carry cash I blow through it way too quickly on stuff I don't really need, but I loathe using my card for even small purchases. Weird.

Rosemary started drinking hard and seeing her reflection in the knife
She was tired of the attention, tired of playing the role of Big Jim's wife
She had done a lot of bad things, even once tried suicide
Was looking to do just one good deed before she died
She was gazing to the future, riding on the Jack of Hearts

Different strokes n'shite.

Card is too quick and painless. Impersonal, if you will.

If you go when the snowflakes storm
When the rivers freeze and summer ends
Please see if she's a coat so warm
To keep her from the howlin' winds.

One of my favorite scenes from the Big Lebowski is the very beginning of the movie when he writes a $0.67 check for a half gallon of milk.

My name, it means nothing, my age it means less
The country I come from is called the U.S.
I was taught and brought up there, the laws to abide
And that the land that I live in has God on its side

The history books tell it, they tell it so well
The cavalries charged, the Indians fell
The cavalries charges, the Indians died
Oh, the country was young with God on its side

The Spanish-American War had its day
And the Civil War too was soon laid away
And the names of the heroes I was made to memorize
With guns in their hands and God on their side

The first World War closed out its fate
The reason for fighting, I never got straight
But I learned to accept it, accept it with pride
For you don't count the dead when God's on your side

The second World War, it came to an end
We forgave the Germans and then we were friends
Though they murdered six million in the ovens they fried
The Germans now too have God on their side

I've learned to hate the Arabs all through my whole life
If another war comes, it's them we must fight
To hate them and fear them, to run and to hide
And accept it all bravely with God on my side

But now we got weapons of chemical dust
If fire them we're forced to, then fire them we must
One push of the button, and a shot the world wide
And you never ask questions when God's on your side

Through many dark hour, I've been thinking about this
That Jesus Christ was betrayed by a kiss
But I can't think for you, you'll have to decide
Whether Judas Iscariot had God on his side

So now as I'm leaving, I'm weary as hell
The confusion I'm feeling, ain't no tongue can tell
The words fill my head and they fall to the floor,
If God is on our side, what are we fighting for?

Train wheels running through the back of my memory
When I ran on the hilltop following a pack of wild geese
Someday everything is gonna sound like a rhapsody
When I paint my masterpiece
