I will agree with Bamaatlsu though in that most of us moved on once the season started.

I can still remember the love fest with Oklahoma that Bama fans had in the two years you played them.... and a lot of that was about Bama fan hoping for Fran to get destroyed when aTm played OU. It was really sad. It took a looong time before I stopped seeing Fran threads on Bama message boards, there are still a few every now and then. So I would say you are wrong.

The man may retire in 2020 at Alabama. But,get ready. The guy can't help himself. He loves attention. He may not this year because of the lingering Miami effect, but if not, certainly in 2009,Sexton will be working the phones again,'just to see what's going on'.Saban's name will once again be tossed around like it was in Baton Rouge.

I have no heartburn with men who make themselves valuable and are prescient enough to realize it in a bargaining situation. This is America, isn't it? I'm sorry Saban didn't kowtow to the LSU Politburo and stay, but sometimes things just work out that way. People go live their lives. If Saban leaves tomorrow to go work in a sheetrock factory, it's his life.

I won't argue there were some hard feelings after Fran left. It was over after one season. Hell, I feel sorry for the guy now.

You can't really compare the Spurrier situation to Saban's. Spurrier wanted to come back to Fla, but got pissed when they told him he had to interview.

You can't really compare Saban's situation to Tuberville's. He left (not in a pine box) directly to another SEC team IN THE SAME DIVISION OF THE SEC. YIKES!

There is no doubt in my ex-military mind that Saban would have come crawling back to LSU after Miami, but y'all already had The HAT. That was evident in his first speech at Bama, which was front loaded with nothing but praise for LSU.

All rational LSU fans have moved on. Unfortunately for their own sake, the LSU dead-enders here on this board appear to have a difficult mental adjustment to make.

I'd notify my employer and give them a chance to counter offer. I would not lie to my people and tell them I wasn't leaving and then leave.

Leaving for greener pastures is fine but it's all in how you do it. To imply that he did a good job handling it is just assinine.

Cancel that bitch.......

Amazing retort

Towlie, you don't think $aban has displayed any signs of being mentally unstable???

Maybe, I can't really say for sure. I've never met the man, and the way the media spins and hypes things I can't trust the way he is portrayed. The image I have of him though is not mentally unstable. I see him like I see most executives. They aren't nice people, most would say they're greedy assholes, but they get shite done.

Well, I am one and I try to stay grounded, people respect that.

I really am basing this on what I have seen with my own two eyes and I honeslty don't have a desire to make anyone else agree. I do think he's a super smart guy but is completely unhappy and is headed for a monumental meltdown.

Wouldn't be uncommon for celebrities and high powered folks this day and age, It probably wouldn't surprise me.

Nice 3rd grade name calling. His behavior speaks for his character. Trust, me, I do not have to know someone to see traits of NPD.

I bet if you watched E! TV, you give us the inside scoop on what really happened to Britney Spears.

If you look at the expression Saban gives right at the end of the tape it tells you volumes about the man. After he belittles all the reporters in attendance he gives that arrogant condescending look back at all the reporters in attendance. The dude has huge issues to always want to fight the media. The media is part of his job. He gets an "F" for how he handles the media and other human beings when he does not get his way.

Oh Ok, I thought someone would have to have met wirh or interacted with another individual to pass judgement on them. Apparently you've got special powers. It's great that you can judge a man's character through media coverage.

Robin Olds and Chuck Yeager in his later years were the same way.

Maybe if Saban would light some aromatherapy candles, the media would like him more.

I am not passing judgement on the man. I can draw inferences on personality from observations of behavior. They are usually correct. I am trained to do so.

It's not really about the media. It is about NS's way of handing things and his treatment of others who question him. And when they are correct, he treats them worse.

OK. I infer from the fact you're a USC fan, you're qualified in the fine arts of crystal healing. I'm usually correct also.
