Didn't SAE get booted off campus after that Wynne kid died?

I think you're thinking about Sigma Nu.

I just saw this, never heard he had any community service but it says here he has completed it.

Koenig said Masoli has completed his community service required from his burglary conviction and "has no obligations anymore" to the Springfield Municipal Court.

You wanted community service.....

Louisiana State University has temporarily suspended the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity in the wake of an August 25 off-campus fraternity party that resulted in the death of LSU student Benjamin Wynne and the near-death of several other students from over-drinking, the school's chancellor announced yesterday. Chancellor William Jenkins said he was "suspending recognition and all activities of the Louisiana Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon until further notice"

From the LSU SAE website:

quote:

Until a tragedy in 1997, Epsilon was a unique force at Louisiana State University. It was at several times the largest chapter in the realm, excelling in all aspects of university life. They built a beautiful home in 1940 and some of our current alumni remember the dedication. Although we no longer possess the home, it stands as a monument to the commitment of our alumni and our history at Louisiana State University.

They basically lost the house. If I remember right, national sold it out from under the LSU chapter.

Wow. I never heard any of that. I always liked the E's when I was at LSU. I'm shocked.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any inside info as I was never a member, but that was the word on the street.

But I do know they are no longer on campus.
