This is true... say what you want about Masoli's past, but he has followed the rules and the NCAA basically fricking him over.

Yeah - seems like the NCAA is taking this first step toward closing a loophole they don't particularly like. I can see where this would worry the NCAA folks about a precedent. Lots of kids could theoretically redshirt as freshmen, graduate with a year of eligibility left, then declare a grad school major not offered at their school and go elsewhere with no penalty. I can see the NCAA shutting this down.

You are right, but he followed the fricking rules this time. They should let him in then change the rules. Greg Paulus(sp?) did this same shite at syracuse

I haven't followed this very close.

Has Masoli been taking all the reps in practice at the #1, before they knew he was in?

Not good on Nutt if so.

NCAA is cracking down on agents, transfers, etc.
LSU had a punter Wing from Australia that questioned his coursework in Australia even though he had above a 3.5 at a Baton Rouge school and did well on his ACT. They had to interpret his Australian coursework even though he did very well in an American high school - NCAA is so foolish and clueless.

With the TV money going up and the playoff system on the horizon and conference expansion, the NCAA will be dramatically altered in the future.

Did he follow the NCAA transfer rules or not?

So, in your infinite wisdom Woopig, how is he not getting screwed over?

Randall Mackey and that's it. They can't play him now because if he gets hurt during the wild reb they're royally fricked.

How can the NCAA just change the rules whenever they want?

No the reps have been split between Masoli, Stanley, and Mackey. Masoli has been 2nd string this whole time, Stanley has been 1st string.

NCAA says he did not meet eligibility requirements. They did not say he broke rules.

because, the NCAA has determined that he is not eligible.

Paulus never got arrested multiple times and got kicked off Duke. He chose to use his final year of eligibility on football instead of Basketball. Totally different situation.
