It would take a lot because it's not just comparing what his salary would be as a rookie. Players want to get to their 2nd contract asap that's where the big money is.

Everyone says this, but nobody means it. Kids already make 7 figures to put on your logo and you still celebrate their commitment and tune in.

It doesn't hurt the P5 per say, but the portal and NIL IS wrecking the two revenue generating sports across the NCAA in the G5 and lower conferences.

That is a real shame.

It won’t destroy college sports in the sense it won’t exist, but there has been a cultural problem throughout college sports for a long time, especially football. It starts when these guys are kids and carries on into their college and pro careers.
