Mark Pope NCAA Tournament coaching record is 0-2.

Stan Heath is 5-4.

John Pelphrey is 1-2.

I looove watching arrogant KY fans melting at the prospect of Mark Pope.

We're Blue Bloods, don't you see? Out with washed up, has been Cal. We are basketball royalty.

Bring us Dan Hurley. Or Scott Drew. Or Billy Donavan. We DE-MAHND it, and we always get what we DE-MAHND... we are BLUE BLOODS!

Mark.........Pope.

At least Stan "Fresh Legs" Heath had coached Kent State to the Elite Eight the year Frank Broyles picked him to replace Nolan Richardson.

Mark.

Pope.

Hope y'all burn so many couches the smoke affects weather patterns.

Reading a Mark Pope article this morning.

Not only does he have fewer NCAA Tournament wins than John Pelphrey and Stan Heath, he coaches "unorthodox, analytics-driven basketball."

All three-point shooting. No real positions.

Uses weird "wedging" strategy for rebounding.

KY fans will hate him quickly.

The meltdown the first time he loses at home when he's favored to win will be epic.

Cannot wait to watch the disaster unfold.

I want to be 100% clear what I am saying here.

I am NOT saying Mark Pope is no good, or his ideas are bad.

I AM 100% SAYING that spoiled, arrogant KY fans and boosters will never give him a real chance and will run him off at the earliest sign of any sort of trouble.

Because Pope is NOT the Hurley or Drew or Donavan spoiled, arrogant KY fans expected and DEMANDED, and simply not up to their Blue Blood standards, spoiled arrogant fans and boosters will never give him a real chance.
