Marcus Lattimore hasn't suited up for South Carolina since 2012, but the Duncan, South Carolina, native is still active in the community and went so far as to offer some Christmas joy for recent victims of flooding in the state.
Since retiring from the NFL in 2014, Lattimore has dedicated his time and efforts to helping out others through the Marcus Lattimore Foundation, which organized a special opportunity for 25 children in Georgetown Country over the weekend.
Check out the news report from WBTW below, which has highlights from the Lattimore-led shopping spree. Each child received a pair of Under Armour shoes and a $120 gift card to buy anything they wanted for Christmas.
"I just want to bring awareness to what's really going on in Georgetown County," Lattimore told WBTW, adding that his foundation researched areas hit hardest by the historic flooding in October before choosing this area to hold the shopping spree.

Yes it was ... but everything happens for a reason. This kid is going to do something special with his life I think. Something I may not live to see, but down the road ... something very very special.
