It was a close call. I don't get Seth Davis pretending to see it clearly.

Iowa State's Niang was clearly hit on the arm on his last shot. No one ever said anything.

The Northeastern kids were mugged on 3 separate occasions on their last possession.

Welcome to the Tournament.

I don't get the outrage. The SMU player clearly touched the ball above the rim. You could argue the shot was wide, but that's a very severe judgment to place on an official in that spot.

Even clearer on replay. The call was correct.

Dude clearly touched the ball above rim level when the ball had a chance to hit the rim. Goaltending. Anyone that disagrees picked SMU in their bracket

Maybe I saw the replay differently. Wasn't really paying attention

Did you watch the game you stupid mfr .? They called BS on the floor fouls in the last 2 minutes of the half when they realized the glaring disparity. We had shooting fouls... Two...we got in the single bonus with 50'seconds left...

It's like reaching in for a steal. Whether or not you actually foul, it's getting called. Hitting a ball on the way down close to the rim is going to get a goaltending.

The ball was in front of the rim not over it. Zero chance that shot was above the cylinder

Yeah, I didn't word that very well. I guess what I'm saying is that if you cannot definitively tell if the shot is going in/hit the rim then you have to call goaltending.

The ball very well could have hit the rim and the SMU player tipped it above. Obvious call, obvious goaltending.

As much crap as we give refs, this one got it correct.

This. Its easy to see in slomo, but in regular pace this is a tough call that could go either way

I get the point it's just not a very good reasoning in my head- call it ref, even if it's wrong it's still ok because the refs couldn't possibly tell it was off.
