I was looking at how the coaches voted and saw his ballot:

3. Alabama
5. Auburn

Surprised me he put his team below a team he beat; a rival at that. He shite talks some, but his ballot give me a little respect for him. I'm not sure I would have done that (or had it done in my name) if I were him.

One loss is better than 3.

You have to Respek that, SEC coaches know what's up. I can't think of anyone that bush league that wouldn't honestly.

I don’t think Syracuse’s coach put Syracuse over Clemson on his vote. Not to discount your point - I think Gus is reasonable and Inthink most Auburn fans are too

Honestly, I think it’s remarkable a 3 loss team is ranked 7.

True. But, we were whipped soundly in that game & AU played for the SEC title. Props to Gus.

Especially when you consider Auburn lost to Ed Orgeron.

Auburn was really quite an ordinary team away from Jordan-Hare. That's been their story as far back as I can remember.

it’s almost like teams play better at home

JHS is way underrated as a home field advantage though.

After yesterday you couldn't put them ahead of Bama. They should have been 5th and 6th.

Gus had to know his vote would be heavily scrutinized and took the high road.
