Malzahn has more clout in Arkansas than Petrino

Petrino is a weasel who will quit on a team in mid-season. He only went to Arkansas because it was the only job available when he wanted back in college football. He will leave at the next available chance he gets to upgrade.
Malzahn earned his rep in high school ranks in Arkansas. Most feel Nutt did not treat him fairly and were upset when Malzahn went to Tulsa. Most Arkansas fans would trade Petrino for Malzahn right now.
Bottom line is, Malzahn is the man in Arkansas and Petrino is a scumbag.

You do realize, don’t you, that Gus will probably be gone after this year and most certainly by next year as a Head Coach somewhere. I think that will weigh heavily in Dyer's decision.

Wow just wow. Several jobs were opening or soon to be open -- Petrino could have waited his season out if he wanted Tennessee or Aubarns job. Oh wait you all did call and offer him the job after a 5-7 season but then hired Chiz who was 5-19.

Yes Malzhan was a great high school coach and was not treated fairly by Houston Nutt and posse.

Malzhan interviewed for the Arkansas job. Do not really think Petrino is a scumbag he has been straight forward with us. Regardless of what he did in Atlanta. Malzhan is a good young up and coming coach but he is no Bobby Petrino. Again BP is putting roots down in Northwest Arkansas making it more difficult for him to leave anytime soon.....

I think what we have here is an Auburn fan who REALLY wants Petrino as his team's head coach, and HATES Arkansas because we have him!

Then why did the AD call Petrino and offer him the Auburn job after last season. The heat from that would have been unbearable and yet your AD called Russ Campbell asking for permission to talk with BP. BP told them the Auburn window was CLOSED......
