eperienced sec quarterback = improved
returning everyone from the backfield = improved
receivers = same
oline = maybe a bit down without oher.. that hurt..

defensive line = improved one of the best in the sec
linebackers = return 2 improved
secondary = improved

haha no i don't think he'll win the heisman thats for jesus's nephew (tebow) but he's easily the second best quarterback in the sec.. our defense is also one of the best too..

The best you guys will do will be a Cotton Bowl bid

mr pitbull i want you to remember what we went through for four years prior to coach nutt.. i am happy with a cotton bowl bid

SEC quarterback = yet to be seen (most likely)
returning everyone from the backfield = much improved and adding more stars
receivers = much improved as well
oline = return all but one and return a hold out SR improved

defensive line = Return all and add size
linebackers = Return all and add size
secondary = return all and add the #1 recruiting class of DBs including the number 1, 3 and 6 Juco DBs.

All in all we both return a great deal of starters and this argument is not worth the fuss we are giving it. We'll see how it all goes in October.

I don't think this tells the whole story...Losing key players the caliber OM lost will be hard to replace. Just because a player played last year doesn't automatically qualify the unit as improved...

QB - Won't have any better production than last year (I qualify this as a great season however)

RB - Again - No improvements to this group. Expect same production

WR - You lose a guy in Wallace. Don't expect a freshman to replace him right away. Downgrade here

OL - Lost Oher - Downgrade

DL - Lost Perry - Downgrade

LB - Return 2 starters should expect same production

DB - Not good...expect same production.

So although OM does return starters on both sides of the ball, really no huge upgrades to the team as a whole. I'm not going to sit here and say that OM does not have talent but to think that OM will improve that much over what they achieved last season doesn't seem possible

You mean when he won the Big East and played Wake in the Orange Bowl? You really count that the same as coming out of the SEC?

I see improvement at the quarterback spot and at the running back spot.. we still have one of if not the best defensive line in the sec.. we replace ashlee palmer with patrick trahan to go along with the returning starters i see improvement there.. and in a pass first offense how many points did you put up on our secondary last year?.. we return three starters including the cotton bowl mvp marshay green who was playing his first year at corner there.. so by default thats improved..

hey pitbull we beat you last year and i haven't heard anything to convinvce me yall are gonna beat us this year

even though i've already addressed this i'll say it again.. wake had to beat us on a last second field goal when we were playing without three starters along the defensive line (ted laurent, PERIA JERRY, GREG HARDY) and if you think they would've beaten us at the end of they year.. than you just plain silly sir

A) That's pedobear bryant. It's because I find it funny.

B) Your point as nothing do to with the BCS point. I'm saying Petrino went through the meat-grinder of the Big East and played Wake Forest in a BCS game.

Just because Wake beat us last year doesn't mean beating them in the Orange Bowl a few years back is that big of an accomplishment. I mean it is, but you'd have to admit the road to the Sugar Bowl is a lot harder than the road to the Orange Bowl out of the Big East.

*Edit: Grammar Fail

Yes I agree that the Road to the Sugar is a tougher path. Really I wasn't trying to make a point, but I had asked you several times about your avatar I was just addressing something you said to draw your attention.

I do have a slight discrepancy with the above statement though. The team of the Orange Bowl and the team you lost to weren't even on the same level. So comparing them isn't fair. Your team hadn't clicked yet so they lost to a bad WF team. If they fielded the team from that Orange Bowl they would have buried you at that point of your season.

Look forward to seeing you in October I'll be there.

No no, they weren't. Wake wasn't a world beater that year though.

Oh and find my tent in October. I'll get you drunk.
