Any public punishment should come from the league, he made the league look bad with his actions. As far as Alabama's response to it, it's a very fine line you walk as a program when you have a player with the intensity and edge of a Malachi Moore because you want to maintain that and translate it to good football play but you also don't want to get into a situation where the league ultimately intervenes and suspends him for a game or two and costing your team. I'm fine with whatever Alabama decides here.

While I agree his actions were very immature and irrational he didn't harm anybody. He earned IMO a game or two suspension, dress only in jersey, and support your teammates and be a better person.

Looks like no suspension coming forth. And that is great news for opposing SEC teams in the long run. Lack of discipline, and inmates running the asylum never, ever, ends well.

I doubt that. Amnesia seems to be contagious and spreading like a wild fire on this site. Saban wouldn’t tolerate this? Yeah right!
Saban was fine with one of his top players bitch punching a 90lb sorority girl because Bama got their arse handed to them by UT.
Saint Nick defended the guy like crazy. After all he was an important player who Bama needed. His excuses were even more ridiculous than DeBores. Burton was “scared”. Saban said he was too.
Man, those Tennessee sorority girls are tough!

I'm not defending it. I'd sit his arse.

He really should be sat because he disrespected his DC and waved him off, that's inmate running the asylum shite right there. All that other stuff, I get it, the SEC should take action, it's football it's rough neck but disrespecting your coach in such a public forum should get punished.

Does the "C" on his jersey stand for CONVICT? Asking for some friends.

He doesn't realize that shite was wrong, otherwise he never would have done it. Don't you think there were other players for Bama who were incredibly frustrated? Spoiled, entitled, and narcissistic...those are things that jump out to me.

This is true regardless of what decision he makes. The question is what standard will he set?

The bad thing about Kirby is that he should've learned more from Saban about handling these situations, Saban always made sure the tracks were covered and this all got swept under the rug publicly when he coached Bama (maybe at LSU too? IDK I don't recall many times our guys got in trouble then) and literally the opposite is happening at UGA.

Saban taught Kirby everything he knows, but not everything he knew. I think the record tends to indicate that at least.

Very possible he withheld his methods of sweeping these public embarrassments under the rug and covering tracks from Kirby, could be logically deduced

Sounds like a simple apology was his punishment.

This is the first step in about 10 steps that leads to a 1 game (or 1 half game) suspension....
