The throwing at the head is bad. It's not impossible to accidentally hit the batter in the head when doing that, and it's playing with fire. The yelling at our cutoff men by a coach is worse IMO. How embarrassing is it that you're so desperate for a win that you resort to having your coaches do things like that?

I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up yet that Cohen has already had to deal with a lawsuit from a former pitcher for making him play after being diagnosed with an elbow injury, which more or less ended the kids baseball career. Cohen cares about himself and himself alone. I honestly don't know how people defend him. There are a lot of a-hole coaches out there, Skip Bertman being one of them, but there's a fine line between being an a-hole and the stuff he pulls. It's probably a big reason he's never been able to get over the hump anywhere he's been. That type stuff only goes so far.

It's hilarious that all State fans have to go to is trying to somehow downplay the fact that Mainieri is the most successful coach in the SEC right now. I think all of them seem to forget they didn't win the series either. I forgot that one game samples in baseball were indicative of a team's worth.

I can't believe such a baseball school is on it's 53'rd page, bitching about throwing at a player, especially when no one actually tried to hit him. Is this your first season? Good lord, y'all are pathetic.

that's the main thing. regardless of how good graveman was playing or may be as a player, he's still a college player. there's a reason why even when it happens at the major league level, throwing at players' heads causes brawls, ejections, retaliation, and people getting hurt. it's flat out dangerous. i don't care what kind of message you're trying to send. you don't throw it at someone's head in baseball.

all you guys acting like ," herp derp, you obviously never played baseball." yeah, y'all are full of shite. yes, people were brushed back. yes people were hit intentionally. but there are also things you didn't do and you knew were bush league. just like sliding spikes up, everyone knows you don't throw at someone head.

i mean graveman was on point the entire day, but let's not act like he didn't miss on a single pitch. are you really going to flirt with seriously hurting a guy to send a message to one player to win one baseball game in a 56 game season? i mean really? i can't believe people actually condone this. this "it's how baseball played" line is hilarious. watch an mlb pitcher do what graveman did, and you'll get the same reaction from an umpire, team, and fan base. you'll also see ejections at times. yes it happens, but it's not like it happens and everyone understands that it's "just part of the game" and doesn't react to it.

it really is. apparently, his career took a downturn in 1991 iirc. so i guess we'll just forget about the CWS he made at State in 1997, at UGA in 2001, and then again at State in 2007. Yeah frick that guy. Cohen's 1 career super regional in 10 years as an SEC baseball coach and 14 years total is better than both Polk and Mainieri. His players may not win, but god damnit they're not a bunch of pussies like the teams that do win

I was at the game. He threw the ball behind Katz's head.

For me, this thread stopped being about the pitch about 45 pages ago. I'm just having fun with it.

I guess you didn't hear Graveman on the radio laughing and saying "that one slipped"....he also said it was intended to amp the team up (which speaks to the intent of the act). All the while Cohen has no comment on the situation....you think Cohen would stand back and watch this if nothing happened .

Bottom line like I've said numerous times...Cohen was mad that Katz was beating the crap out of State (nothing more nothing less) and told Graveman to throw at him (I can't prove Cohen told Graveman to throw at his head so I'm not sure why he did other than he is just a thug) and Graveman was more than happy to oblige.

Good. I'm so glad the planned worked. Results 10-2 Beatdown. Too bad we didn't do it to start the series in the 1st game. Maybe we can send the purpose pitch early this upcoming weekend. It scared LSU shitless maybe it will scare UK. The plan must work just when playing mental midget teams.

How does it feel to have lost 7 straight series to a mental midget team?

You were in pages 1-5, and youre in page 53. You seem to really CARE.

frick the irrelevant team in Landmass.

Miss St. fans = redneck, tennis shoe and bell bottom jean wearing, fat ole miss fans. the only state fans I know are extremely obese and insecure about their sports teams. They also live in BR and find ways to justify being LSU fans during football season. Except of course, the week they get bat by LSU

3/5 last year bruh. Sent you packing in the sec tourney. Your 2 losses came to who? It's middle of march a lot of sec ball left. I like our pitching depth compared to LSU.

I'd guess just over half as bad as it does in football.
