BB final year if he starts Jones. The TB game will kill him.

BB may start Cam,

He can, will, and should as long as Cam is good enough to keep them competitive. Desperate teams start rookie qb's and I don't think the Pats are that desperate. By starting a rookie qb before he is ready would be risking the long term investment of a first round pick. Jones is clearly the more accurate passer and a better fit for the Pats than Cam, but he is still a rookie with a lot to learn. Let the veteran play as long as he is competitve and let the rookie learn. I know Cam is struggling today but he missed three practices this week and that is why he is out of sync. I see no reason to throw Jones into the fire until Cam gives them a reason in the regular season.

Really and which of these rookies are actually going to do anything this year? This years class was so overrated with Lawrence being the only one who could make any noise when the real season starts.

While I'm elated with Mac doing well this Preseason. I expect Cam to start game 1, now that doesn't take away from how salty you have been about the whole topic.

Preseason football means about as much as spring games.

The only difference is, college kids can’t be cut.

Numbers and performances are skewed because of randomized personnel.

And one player missing three practices because he is too dumb to understand the Covid policy.

The worm turned in Super Bowl 50 when he had an opportunity to dive on the loose ball with the game on the line and didn't. That Denver defense broke him that evening.
. Cam had legit gripes about the hits that refs let pass on him. I know he is a big due and all, but that mfer took more head shots than pretty much all other nfl qbs combined. The fact that he relied on his athleticism and never really learned how to be a pro QB didn’t help.

Not salty, just watching the 10 Year butthurt drive some to beat their chest over a pre-season game. If I throw out a comment we may get to make this 5+ pages of butthurt. Lol

Butthurt is the likely prospect of Cam carrying a clipboard.

Kind of feel for Cam to be honest. He’s had a good preseason but he will playing each week to keep his job.

So you're saying he understood the policy and still didn't follow it because he wanted to give Jones, the man he is a postion battle with, all of the first team practice snaps?

Yes because making millions dollar roster decisions on who to keep on the 52 man roster, personnel cuts, etc is just like "spring ball" ...for rookies it a time to get accumulated. For barely hanging on NFL vets definitely a time to solidify roster spots.
