#2 Seed - Alabama (#5)

#4 Seed - Tennessee (#15)

Ole Miss is the #5 team out - moves them right in the thick of the bubble talk

Can't wait for the LSU/Arky game in Bud Walton. Gonna have a tournament feel to it with both teams trying to improve seeding. It always seems to be a tough game for us up there.

Nope. Don't like that.

Goes back to what we were discussing the other day about that 8/9 seed getting blasted in the second round?

Yep. Happened to us in '09. We won then got UNC in the second round. If I remember correctly we were the only team to stay within single digits of them in the tournament. May have been able to win a few that year with a better draw.

Yeah, Alabama limped into the 2018 tourney as a 9 seed and got the luxury of playing 1 seed (and eventual champion) Villanova in the second round.

That was fun.

Congrats Rebel Black Bear Landsharks.

As an Alabama fan, it is just so strange to read articles about potential scenarios in which they could end up a 1 seed instead of a 2. We are only conditioned to nervously awaiting each bubble update to see where our annual Feb collapse has landed us.

Y'all lost by 14 but they did beat every team by double digits.

You played them in NC so that really means you won by 3 anywhere else

Did bama have a good start to that game because looking back on the score now, it didn't seem that bad

Was it? I thought it was 9 for some reason or another. Good thing I had to be at work that day and missed it.

We played them pretty well for a half.

Then the 2nd half they went into Golden State Warriors weave and duck and roll and hit every 3 with all 5 guys mode and the score went from "hey, we're in this" to "holy shite we're down 25" in like 6 minutes.

If I remember correctly they didn't play a single tournament game in single digits and only 1 of them was even really "close" at all in the last 10 minutes. I think Texas Tech lost by 12 but it was a close game late. That was it.

Sounds eerily similar to what Bama did in Baton Rouge this year.

Yep - except they did it on a consistent basis almost the entire season. Insane.

I think that was the highest rated efficiency offense of like the last 5 years per KenPom. They were absurd.

I fricking love and despise the tournament all at the same time. Probably one of the worst ways to get a true champion but the team that is mentally and physically tough enough to get through all of that deserves it.

Yeah, here’s the ESPN game flow. You can see the “oh furk” moment right after the half.
