I actually didn't read it, but I promise I'll go back and read. I'm finishing up my research now.

So it's safe to say you don't value Alabama's 2011 national championship, right? After all you did say,
quote:

If its not an undefeated, untied, bowl championship then it pretty much not valid IMO.
and
quote:

They only one's I place any real value are the that are undefeated and untied.
.

Just trying to see where you're coming from.

I'll answer my opinion to this thread as I can by attempting to be as unbiased as I can. Even though Mettenberger has more "physical capabilities" than AJ may have, RIGHT NOW McCarron is the far better QB here and it should NEVER been up for discussion until several snaps have been taken this upcoming season. The same goes for the RB situation. And I don't care about this proven/unproven situation analogy between QB/RB in the SEC that got shut down earlier in the thread. LSU's 4 rbs have proven themselves in the league against first half SEC talent. Bama's 4 rbs have only had 2 of them with SEC experiences and a lot in mop up duty. I believe any unbiased person would and should give the nod to LSU. Now we can all revisit this thread after the season and have a good laugh/bitch-fest, but I believe the answer here is obvious. Just as AJ is the much better QB over Mett, LSU's stable of RBs is the better group until proven otherwise.

I agree completely. I think until we've seen everyone play we cannot accurately judge how they will do and who will be better. We're all just speculating as of right now. The nod for better QB should go to AJ and the nod for better RB Stable shoudl go to LSU.

Bamawins is a homer, but he also at least admit where his team has room for improvement. I know Bama and Lsu are on top of the SEC and at any point could thump one another. Good to see bama fans like him

That's fair.

It was a great season, where Bama should have went undefeated. Probably won't have that combination of talent and experience for a while. Not close to being as satisfying as 2009. I'll probably think about what could've been.

I respectfully disagree. It wasn't the same as an undefeated season, but this BCS Title was much more satisfying than 09. Yeah 2009 was showing the world that Bama was back, but 2011 was about 4/27/11 for me. The second it happened the first thing that came to my mind was "We've gotta win it all." The only reason I was crushed after 11/5 was because it looked like LSU had taken that away from us.

Completely swerved the question. Son I am disappoint. By all means, please keep spewing your homer-filled gump-induced bullshite.

Oh you wont believe half the shite this guy says I call him out for that he completely ignores.

This time last year, says conference titles are more legit than national titles because national champs are voted.

Then makes a post this year and says conference titles are "nice" but only the crystal counts.

LSU by a mile. Bamas talented but unproven outside Lacy. I would say Lacy would probably be fourth string at LSU. Ware, Hilliard, and Ford all would overtake him. I haven't seen much of Blue, so EL may beat him out.

Experience is very overated when it comes to running backs. It wouldn't suprise me one bit if Yeldon out performs 3 of the LSU backs. I'd take Lacy and Yeldon over any 2 of LSU's. I'll bump this after the season to see what ends up happening.

If you use this logic then I match Bama's Yeldon to LSU's Jeremy Hill. I say Hill will be better than all of them.
