LSU's dominance of Auburn over the last 10 years

I'm usually not one to pile on to a team in disarray, but the dominance displayed on Saturday got me thinking about the recent history between the two schools. I went back through the last 10 full seasons (2005-2014) to examine just how superior LSU has been, and the numbers shouldn't be surprising to anyone:
Head-to-head: LSU is 7-3
Average total W/L: LSU is 10.3 - 2.9 (103-29), Auburn is 8.7 - 4.2 (87-42)
Average SEC W/L: LSU is 5.6-2.4 (56-24), Auburn is 4.6-3.4 (46-34)
SEC West Champs: LSU 3, Auburn 2
SEC Conference Champs: Tied at 2
Bowl Record: LSU 6-4, Auburn 5-3
Seasons with 10 or more wins: LSU 7, Auburn 3
Top 5 finishes (Coaches Poll): LSU 4, Auburn 2
Seasons finished unranked: LSU 2, Auburn 4
Losing seasons: LSU 0, Auburn 2
Need I keep going? The dominance Saturday was about one thing and one thing only - Auburn returning to its rightful place in CFB as LSU's bitch.

Coaches: LSU- 1 Auburn- 3
They average one win per coach against LSU. Good for them.

If you think you need to. But it's kind of personal as to how much ego stroking you need to do.

Meh. You guys haven't had a perfect season in 100 years. I would rather have our success.

We have sucked the last 10 years... sadly only 2 SEC championships... our records against UGA is also bad...

I'll just go ahead and add, since you left it out and an aubie will bring it up, we're both 1-1 in NC games

What happened the last time LSU beat Auburn? Oh yeah, Auburn won the west, sec, and played for the national championship. OTOH, LSU won nothing.
I see a repeat happening this year and I am fine with it

I wouldn't trade LSU's last 10, 5, or even 3 years for the same stretches for Auburn. 3 years is the only one with an argument, but even then I think 3-9 and 0-8 in the SEC outweighs the BCSNC appearance in 2013.

Don't forget about the 3-9 and 5-7 seasons either.

While LSU has certainly dominated the series under Miles, historically I consider both LSU and Auburn to be fairly even programs. I'd give LSU the nod, but its fairly close.
I've always thought of LSU, Auburn, and Georgia as very similar programs, historically speaking. Behind Alabama and Tennessee, but ahead of Florida. Although over the past 15 years, Tennessee is doing their part towards coming down to the same level as well.
While its fair to say last Saturday was an absolute beatdown, didn't Auburn beat LSU in a similar fashion just last year?
Here are the two programs' SEC Championships listed in order going backwards:
2013- Auburn
2011- LSU
2010- Auburn
2007- LSU
2004- Auburn
2003- LSU
2001- LSU
1989- Auburn
1988- Auburn
1988- LSU
1987- Auburn
1986- LSU
1983- Auburn
1970- LSU
1961- LSU
1958- LSU
1957- Auburn
1936- LSU
1935- LSU
So LSU has 11 and Auburn has 8. But going back to about 1970, its very even.
I think LSU has certainly been one of the stronger programs in the league as of late, but I also think LSU fans are quick to forget just how bad LSU was through most of the 1990s. Every program has its ups and downs.
The bottomline, in this modern era, there's not a ton of difference between teams 1-6 in the SEC. Even Alabama has had enough down years since Bear Bryant retired to even out their success with the other top programs in the league.
It all evens out eventually.

Lsu beat auburn 31-3 in 2009 and dropped 40+ in 2011. Last three in Death Valley were over in the 2nd quarter
Even with Cam they only won by 7
