I don't think a single person in this thread said he was out there but you rather assume that I guess.

He was fooled on a back door RFB from a submariner. It probably started 6 inches off the plate and would up 1 or 2. It was a great pitch.

Do they have optometrists in Cajun country?

If was inside Scivique's frame, it wasn't 8 inches off the plate.

First pitch of the AB, called strike, same location.

The melt is strong tonight.

I agree, your 8 inches.

How have I melted?

Childress lost this game by not capitalizing on a shaky bullpen and leaving his starter in too long.

It wasn't 8 inches off the plate, but it wasn't borderline either. It's not disputable. The ump blew the call. Again, that's baseball. Great game.

No, you didn't. Laird wasn't even in the frame when the pitcher made the throw to 2nd. He wasn't getting doubled up.

He looked the runner at third back and then went to second for some reason. Either way, he could have easily prevented the run from scoring by looking him back and going to first. It was misplayed any way you slice it

Why would I need one? I've already told you it was inside of Scivique's frame. So, unless you think the catcher was set up off the plate on a 3-2 pitch, which would only further confirm your ignorance of the sport, then it wasn't more then 2-3 inches off the plate.

If I'm the umpire there, I'm most def calling that a strike in that situation. You leave that situation up to the batter. If it's close he will swing if he's smart if not bye bye for leaving the stick on your shoulder. Batters fault

Cry Scruffy a river, Aggies.

If y'all wanted to win, y'all shouldn't have left bases loaded in the 9th.

I agree 100%. He should have gone to 1st. I'm just saying he wasn't going to double Laird up even with a perfect throw in that situation. If he'd immediately turned and fired then maybe.

You think it was inside his frame? Lol. Go watch it again.
