This year, yes, because it will probably cost an NC. In the long run, no. The last time the SEC champion had a loss in the NCG was 2008. You don't have a lot of credibility as a "tough conference" if you put undefeated champions in the title game for years on end.

It'll be okay.

I honestly do not see KSU dropping a game.

If LSU wins, there will be no SEC team playing for the MNC. K State and Oregon will remain undefeated and play each other for the MNC. Bama needs to win to keep the SEC's streak alive.

And Bama should be the only team that cares. Let it play out. LSU might honestly jump KState, just not this week but after the SEC CG. Absolute 0 chance of ND staying undefeated or beating out a 1 loss SEC.

You are a fool if you think an undefeated ND team would get jumped by a 1 loss SEC team

True. SECC points may put the SECC winner at #1 or #2.

LSU win would probably spell doom for the SEC in the title game. All good things come to an end.

I know it. I also don't think they stay that way but not worried.

Klein of KSU left the game in the 3rd with an injury and didn't return. Obviously, if he is out a game or two, that increases the chances of a loss, although I don't see who might beat them.

That's what I believe will happen.
