Impossible.

I was told by Bammer fans that football at LSU started in 2001 when Nick Saban founded the university.

Learn something new everyday.

LSU football has more pedigree than every other school save two in the SEC. And the luster is wearing off one of those two very, very quickly.

Depends on what you mean by "pedigree". The record as a whole or certain parts of it? Let's take a look at it primarily as a whole.

We know your "pedigree" doesn't surpass Alabama. So, it only leaves two other programs to compare with: Georgia and Tennessee.

WINS: UT=838, UGA=821, LSU=799.....Edge = UT & UGA
LOSSES: UT=392, UGA=423, LSU=415
WINNING PCT: UT=68.1%, UGA=66.0%, LSU=65.8%....Edge = UT & UGA

NATIONAL TITLES AS LISTED IN NCAA RECORDS: UT=6, UGA=6, LSU=5.....Edge = UT & UGA
BOWL GAMES: UT=52, UGA=55, LSU=50....Edge = UT & UGA
BOWL GAMES WINNING PCT: UT=53.8%, UGA=59.1%, LSU=53.0%....Edge = UT & UGA

TOTAL NUMBER OF 10+ WIN SEASONS: UT=19, UGA=24, LSU=15....Edge = UT & UGA
TOTAL NUMBER OF LOSING SEASONS: UT=28, UGA=26, LSU=27.....Edge = UGA & LSU

It doesn't appear LSU's pedigree surpasses that of Tennessee and Georgia, but you're very close. Generally speaking, all three are pretty much on the same level when it comes to "pedigree".

Don’t associate Alabama with a measly 800 wins.

907 and counting...

To think it'd be even more if Bama could just learn not to cheat.

Looking at that list, getting into the 800+ win group pretty much solidifies you as a damned good program.

UGU with 6 national championships?

Yeah, nobody actually believes that, recognized or not, and LSU absolutely doesn’t claim 5 just the 3 that are without dispute.
