LSU, why have you allowed Baton Rouge to offer the worst crime rate in the SEC?

"For Baton Rouge, we found that the violent crime rate is one of the highest in the nation, across communities of all sizes (both large and small). Violent offenses tracked included rape, murder and non-negligent manslaughter, armed robbery, and aggravated assault, including assault with a deadly weapon."

Dear LSU,
Why?
Do you seriously expect us to come visit this weekend? Especially with our coaching situation? Why would we? Oh, our coach is about to be canned, our football program is going to be starting over, so let's drive 7 hours to possibly be carjacked in Baton Rouge by a gang of 14 year olds who have no parents.
That brings me to another point. When we finish the work on I-49 from Fort Smith to Texarkana, that's going to open you all up to tourism from the entire Midwest United States. If I had my way, you all would be paying for our road construction from Fort Smith to Texarkana. I'm not sure why that's relevant to his thread, but it feels relevant to me. I've been wanting to say it to someone from Louisiana, so I'm saying it here.
Anyway, not coming this weekend. We have our Little Rock and Pine Bluff problems ourselves, but at least we don't have an entire state that is a high crime zone.
