What Coach O said on Monday is more or less consistent with what he said on Thursday BEFORE the game.
Incorrect.
From September 5 (BEFORE the game), when Coach O addressed the media:

This got blown (pun intended) out of proportion by the media. Lack of ventilation means exactly what is sounds like. My dad was a tightwad who kept it at 78 at night in the summer. Without a fan, that feels hot. So Coach O got advance intel and solved the problem by bringing in some blowers.
As Skip Holtz said, it wasn't a sauna but it wasn't cool either.

Imagine for a moment that he was referring to the blowers LSU did in fact bring vs. "the lack of ventilation" reported to him last week by La. Tech (and confirmed more or less when Skip Holtz said 'it wasn't cool either').
Coach O didn't say there was NO air conditioning. In context, it's clear he was referring to the lack of cool air and more importantly blowing cool air.
Again, the media made a big deal out of this.

Coach O doesn't control the media (they make the headlines) or what fans say or do.
He does control preparing his team. He got advance intel and brought in blowers. In hindsight, he says they should have done more IVs at halftime. That's about it. Not much more to tell. Only the fans and media care about the A/C angle.
