LSU owns A&M....is that why you want us out the SEC?
Silly.
I, for one, would be very disappointed to see LSU leave the conference (not that it'd ever happen).
For me, the renewal of the annual A&M/LSU game was one of the most appealing draws of our SECession.

For a Vandy fan, you're not too bright. Ever hear of Tulane or Ole Miss?
Don't blame LSU just because the Tigers ravage rivals' programs like Tennessee ravaged Vandy's.
Didn't Vandy start out like 20-0 in that series and now it's like 75-30?
Perhaps I'm not a particularly bright Vandy fan. It's entirely possible. It must hurt that this would still makes me considerably brighter than you, and, for that pain, I apologize.
Now, onto the other part of your post: Tulane, as you may have noticed, is not in the SEC, and hasn't been in almost a half-century. Even if the "rivalry" weren't defunct, and even if it weren't utterly lopsided, and moreso now than back in the day, it would be completely irrelevant to the discussion of SEC rivalries. As for Ole Miss, they have an intra-division rivalry already, and I've yet to hear a single LSU or OM fan declare that this particular "rivalry" is of such importance that it must be maintained. Certainly nobody has had the pure obliviousness necessary to claim either school considers it a rivalry on the same level as AU/UGA, UA/UT, or -- just to back up to the last sentence -- OM/MSU. If y'all want to try to develop it as such, more power to you. But until you do, it's a non-factor in discussing the issue of LSU having rivalries to compensate for their self-perceived lack of influence in the SEC.
Edit: Perhaps we could take a poll of LSU and OM fans to see how many of them consider their games true rivalries, and how many of them would like to see it take on a central importance, in exclusion to all other (potential)rivalries, on their respective schedules.

if we joined the Big12 teams would change to an SEC mentality.....or they would be forced out.
While you might make the sips your bitch on the field... i assure you LSU will not even get close to being able to push a mentality on the Big12 you do realize how many Texas teams your dealing with and oil money? You are delusional to think that youd be able to change ANYTHING in the big12.

Someone had to make this thread so the healing can begin. Already I have learned that in this whole ordeal LSU scored a partial victory.

Oh look an Aggie trolling...how surprising. Why don't you wait until you actually win something?

could that be the "rivalry" that LSU is in dire need of?

If LSU went to the B12, they would end up in the NC every fricking year.

I don't know, SEC teams seem to be struggling with Oklahoma as of late.

Oh, it's a rivalry.
And it's going to do nothing but become increasingly intense.
Y'all (Tigers) know it.
And we (Ags) know it.
I won't lose any sleep over the fact that some folks in Alabama, Tennessee, and/or Mississippi don't know it.

Meanwhile Big 12 leaders would bend over backwards to accommodate LSU because that would stabilize their conference.
There is no exit fee for the SEC...

I might become a regular over here...off season is boring in the Big 12

Because you get so used to the "basketball played with cleats" (-Barry Switzer) that you end up turning into an adrenaline junkie.
During the offseason the Big 12 is like a conference full of Auburns.
