Plus, it's slowly approaching a decade since LSU won a NC.
That game was just over 5 years ago. And you might remember who from our division went to Atlanta in 2011.

Why would Bama want a tougher schedule? They can't even win all of their games now.

Your Big 12 cross-division opponent could be Baylor...Hopefully thats more manageable.
If you're really lucky, you can road trip to Waco and Ames in the same season every other year. Amazing tailgating scene.

I find it funny when the first year wonders have so much to say when the reason they are here is because they spent the last decade bitching about Texas.

If we could only beat Clemson...oh wait. NM.

I know right? It's almost as bad as losing a game you're heavily favored in your own stadium. Two years in a row.

A few more seasons without a meaningful postseason game and I'll ask you for advice on how you survived '92 to '09.

Arkansas is mad as hell too about losing 2 years in Jerryworld with A&M, losing LSU to A&M on Thanksgiving weekend (well, before LSU was leaving for the Big 12 that is), and A&M stealing USC from them in exchange for Mizzou.
Possible new Big 12 Divisions:
Big 12 East-
1. LSU
2. Arkansas
3. West Virginia
4. Kansas
5. Kansas State
6. Iowa State
Big 12 West-
1. UTex
2. OU
3. OSU
4. TT
5. TCU
6. Baylor
Well, if the Big XII ate into the ACC (which is pure fantasyland) and added some big name programs, but decided to grab an LSU team wanting a split with the SEC, I could see a bigger conference with a better slate...
Big XVI West
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Kansas
Kansas State
Colorado State (Denver market)
Iowa State
Texas Tech
Baylor
Big XVI East
West Virginia
LSU
FSU
Miami
Clemson
Texas
TCU
Louisville or Boston College
I could live with a conference like this....it would probably be harder than our current slate though

To appease the sandyvags the SEC should require that when LSU plays UF in BR that the game is a Night Game and LSU get's to wear their away uniforms. This would give LSU fans their night game tradition, uniform tradition and their rivalry game.

Honestly, UT and UF are pretty even in terms of ceiling potential, and historical success. Yeah, UF has been significantly better for the last 8-10 years, but its not like Bama gets to play, say, UK every season.
I mean, based on the last 5 or so years, USC is a much better team than UT, yet even us first year members aren't bitching about playing them every year starting in 2014, even though we share a division with Bama too.
Muschamp could have tanked and been fired last season, and UT could have hired Gruden in the offseason while UF hired their third or fourth choice. Would LSU fans still be complaining about this then?

Anyone can claim scared or whatever they want - but can anyone honestly disagree that having Florida as oermanent cross rival is not a disadvanatge? Florida is a top tier SEC program. ANd will continue to be a top tier program. And if for some reason they have a shitty string of 2 or 3 years - guess what - they have the $$ to change courses and change them rather quickly. So - yes LSU playing FLA year in and year out is to a disadvantage. However - you cannot name the disadvantage without the advantage. If LSU is in contention for a NC berth, and LSU has beaten a strong FLA team - then that of course boades well for the quality win category.
So would you suggest just getting rid of permanent rivals? I mean, someone has to play UF. I just don't get this whole line of thinking. I mean UT has to play Bama every year. They have a bigger complaint. Heck, UF has to play LSU every year. Why don't they complain about it. Auburn has to play UGA every year, don't they have every bit as much of a complaint as LSU? Why is it only LSU that points out the fact they have to play UF every year and not the other schools that have as much or tougher go of it based on who they have to play on a yearly basis.

I don't want LSU to leave the SEC. I'm seriously asking if LSU people are that adamant about their demands
Believe or not most of us have more important things to worry about. LSU would never leave the SEC over a scheduling conflict, pretty ridiculous thought to be honest.
