100% agreed. I'd still expect a game or two suspension.
I'd definitely sit him vs TCU. It will give us a good gauge for the rest of the season. If we can't beat TCU without Hill, we weren't going to win the SEC with him.

When you say Hill didn't throw the 1st punch, are you saying the 1st punch was thrown by the victim or by one of Hill's friends? If it's the former, I don't know why Hill would've been arrested unless he kept punching the guy after he was knocked out.

TCU shouldn't have been overlooked to begin with, now they become a much bigger threat if Hill isn't playing on Blue isn't quite the same as he was at that point.
My hope is that now Hilliard's twins are a year older, he won't be spending quite as much time playing house and can focus on football a little more. And maybe drop about 10lbs.

Not clear? Pretty clear to me! If you're on probation and you get arrested it's a violation. A speeding ticket is a violation of probation. He's fricked.
A misdemeanor is not a violation of his particular probation. Regardless there will be a hearing re-evaluating it because they have to but trust me he's not going to jail over this

He apparently got arrested based on a video of him throwing a punch. Said video probably didn't get all of the action before that punch was thrown.

I'm not clear on all the details, just passing along what I was told by those in the know

Yep.

If they told you that then they aren't very informed attorneys.

So you know more about Hill's status than practicing attorneys in his jurisdiction? Just wondering.

First games-
TCU, UAB, and Kent ST. Great PR opportunity to show some discipline with very low risk to team.

Interesting. I guess your guys have access to his conditions of probation. If that is the case, his was specifically tailored. Over here, the norm is that one cannot "violate any local, state or federal law" and normally sets out that even an arrest will suffice.

I bet the petition to revoke has already been filed. He'll for sure have a revocation hearing.

That would be quite the coup. A person with a sex crime conviction not serving at least a little bit based on a new arrest for a crime of violence. I'd buy those fellas a drink if they get that done...

No but I do understand how probation works. You think they say you're on probation but only felonies will violate your probation. Feel free to commit all the misdemeanors you want?! No, that's not how it works. He's fricked.

Can't tell homers anything.

Well, in the interest of full disclosure, the court does have the ability to condition probation as it sees fit. Hill could have gotten a sweetheart deal. I don't know.

Miles isn't going to pull a Tressel and cherry pick suspension. And I agree, if LSU is to compete for ATL invite they would be able to beat TCU without Hill.
Is there an official word from DA regarding probation violation and misdemeanor conviction?
