he's shown incredibly poor judgement.

Syaing this =/= ragging on him. He definitely could have handled the situation better than he did.

There's a video?

From my link back on page 17.

quote:

An officer was shown a video of the incident, “which clearly shows the defendant (Hill) striking the victim,” the affidavit says.

So is Hill pretty much fricked? Sounds like it from what I have been following.

Sounds like it, but you never know with athletes.

It's kinda early. Still not clear if this is actually a violation of his probation.

Of course, the proper thing to do now would be to suspend him indefinitely, regardless of what happens in court.

What is carnal knowledge of a juvenile?

Hill has a 1st count carnal knowledge charge, which is a misdemeanor under Louisiana law.

This is a misdemeanor battery.

He just doesn't sound like the smartest guy, I mean it's really not hard to avoid a fight. You would think being on the team and having previous problems with the law would have swayed him the other way.

No. If this is as bad as it looks, he needs to be gone.

Does probation start from the time of arrest or from when the punishment is handed down?

At time of sentencing, unless you've served jail time.

Thanks just noticed his first arrest was in Jan 2011 and was curious about if he is still serving probation?

Yes he is still on probation.

The word I'm hearing from the BR legal community is that he was provoked by a racial slur and did not throw the first punch. If he is charged it will be only a misdemeanor which is not a violation of his probation. His status on the LSU football team will not be affected other than whatever in house action taken by Miles.

Sorry to disappoint all of you

I went to LSU Law school. Believe it or not I know 1 or 2 lawyers in Baton Rouge via this experience.

Some idiot redneck I'm guessing, but Hill needs to put the big boy pants on, you can't go around hitting everyone who uses a racial slur, then they win because you look exactly like what they call you. Even if the other guy threw the first punch, Hill still did exactly what the guy wanted.

100% agreed. I'd still expect a game or two suspension.

Well regardless he still hit a guy and will likely be charged with a misdemeanor....

Not clear? Pretty clear to me! If you're on probation and you get arrested it's a violation. A speeding ticket is a violation of probation. He's fricked.

Would it be to start the season? TCU shouldn't have been overlooked to begin with, now they become a much bigger threat if Hill isn't playing on Blue isn't quite the same as he was at that point.
