LSU was on track for a last place finish in the West this season. Then the Good Reverend and his disciple Bjork humbly sentenced themselves to that position for the next decade so LSU wouldn't have to suffer.

This is what being a Christian is all about.

Your Mom must be a good Christian. She spends a lot of time on her knees.

if my eye sight and research is correct...LSU has only finished dead last in the SEC once, thanks to Curly Hallman who lead LSU into its Dark Ages of football, and it was also the first year of the divisions in 1992...

As the story goes Ole Miss decided to cheat after the infamous Mercy Knee at the hands of the Tigers in 2011.

So do we owe ourselves?

Thanks to Les Miles' mercy, Ole Miss was spared its worst loss in 81 years Saturday night.

The top-ranked Tigers, leading 52-3 and possessing the ball at the Ole Miss 1-yard-line with five minutes left, took a knee on four successive plays and turned the ball over on downs with three minutes left.

Had LSU gained the one yard and scored a touchdown, it would have been the worst loss for Ole Miss since a 64-0 drubbing against Alabama in 1930. As it was, the loss equaled a 49-0 loss to Georgia in 1974.

"That's the first time that's happened to me," Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt said. "Les was just trying to be nice right there and I appreciate it. It doesn't make you feel good either way. Les is a good man. He understands."

You're wrong. LSU was 0-6 in the SEC in 1983. LSU was 1-7 in 1999 (though SC was 0-8 that year). Your overall point is decent, but your facts are a little shaky.

Ok...SC is a member of the SEC, they finished dead last that year, doesn't matter that they are in the east, over all standings they finished last that year so I'm correct...

No, its solid, missing one year is not "shaky" as you call it, you are just trying to be a dick...
