LSU on paper has guys that are unproven at WR, I'll give you that. But unproven=/= terrible.
iirc we don't have a WR that'll see the field who was less than a 4 star recruit. Dural came to mind, but I think he was a 4.
you can only play so many, and LSU can't help it that Landry and OBJ were NFL ready before the season even started.
Fair enough. Regardless of how we view the better preseason team, it'll be a good game. Always is when both teams have Division I caliber teams.
Freeze has us in the right direction, now we just have to stop talking and win games...or stop giving games away(looing at you A&M, AU, and MSU)

You're a good poster...your opinion is your opinion...my opinion is mine...you stay on topic and defend your opinion unlike a lot of LSU* posters.
*insert any team name here.

Did you bookmark last year's thread too? I know a lot of LSU fans did but I assume it was deleted

When you look at Ole Miss vs LSU on paper, right now, you have to give the edge to Ole Miss. We return everyone, while LSU is depending on some true freshman to make an immediate impact.
There seems to be an awful lot of emphasis being put on the WR position in this thread.
Perhaps LSU should concede that position to Mississippi, but I wouldn't say that overall I would give the nod to the Rebels at this point. LSU has shown before that it can win football games without a QB, or a OC, but pretty much just by running the ball.
LT: Collins, SR, 6-5, 315#
LG: Alexander, JR, 6-6, 342#
C: Porter, SR, 6-4, 300#
RG: Washington, SR, 6-4, 334#
RT: Hawkins, SO, 6-6, 301#
4 returning starters on the OL, 4 upperclassmen, average 6-5, 318#. Throw in senior TE and FB, and if the WRs can just block, LSU will be running the ball down some people's throats.
In other words, we STILL may not know how good LSU's receiving corps is at the end of next season if the running game is as dominant as I think it can be.

Will be going against:
Gross
CJ Johnson
Nkemdiche
Fadol Brown
Bryon Bennett
Woody Hamilton
Carlos Thompson
Those fatties on the LSU OL ain't ready
ETA: and if Marquis Haynes isn't redshirted he'll be in the backfield before whatever tackle they decide to put on him gets out of his stance.

Was going to add this to your post. Haynes and CJ coming off the edge with Nkemdiche and Gross slashing the middle. Jesus, that is the fastest DL in the country. Hopefully, Birdman/Nkemdiche/Russell/Shackleford can do their jobs. What a dirty front 6. With Senquez&Shepard/Hilton &Jones/Conner&Chief/Prewitt&Hapton/Alford&Elston
Good God, I just realized how absurd our defense truly is.

They weren't ready as Juniors against our 2nd string defense. What makes you think they are going to be ready for our first string defense?

You might want to just go ahead and focus on the Egg Bowl this season.
It must be tough having State for a rival.

Sounds like you will need therapy after LSU curb stomps Ole Piss in their back yard
