didnt give him the chance didn't give him a chance my arse. He got beat out and transferred. He could have been the starter this year -- they prob wouldn't have been looking for Fields IMO.

Very true.... And Fields transferred to Ohio State because he wanted to be under Ryan Day's tutelage.. He has confirmed that. Day made Haskins and he's doing the same with Fields who has no ceiling.

To be clear I don't blame Burrow, but it would be asinine for him to hold a grudge over getting beaten out, especially given how he was a below average QB last year.

I don't think he holds a grudge... From my understanding he spent LSU's off date last year at Ohio stadium. He is very well liked and respected there by his former teammates. In the end everyone won and I'm sure glad he came here.

His statistics weren't great but he made LSU a winner, in every way.

So you’re one gripe is that we haven’t played multiple top-15 opponents back-to-back?

Nope. LSU is very good. Just pointing out that the SEC schedule is no more of a meat grinder when all games are played than the B1G. At the end of the season the schedules aren't far from each other.

He’s correct in one sense. The B1G can match physicality to the SEC. Where the argument falls flat, though, is the depth issue. Although it’s hard to argue that the B1G isn’t the next best conference. Certainly it’s not the ACC, PAC-12 or Big 12.

Actually, OSU is the only team that I see that can match the physicality. Maybe Michigan and Penn State as well. Those two just aren't consistent.

LSU has a quarterback and three wide receivers that are better than all of the ones OSU has faced this year. Even our running back would be the second best they have faced. The only good team they played (wisc) was in a monsoon and their offense is no where as good as LSU's. LSU has put up over 500 yards on every good defense they have faced. OSU wont stop burrow. No one can

Who is even claiming they will? I haven’t heard anyone stating this. Although if LSU was smart they would run a lot of plays to get the ball out of Burrow’s hand quickly. Chase Young is the real deal. LSU also has to play defense. They will have a hard time stopping OSU and their dual threat QB. Should be a great game

We already did that. With numbers.

How about the committee’s?

The committee has us both in the top four. If that ranking meant you were the best team in football, we'd have no need for a playoff.

Keep trying...

We are talking about the current opinions of the committee and both polls, right?

No.

You're trying to talk about opinions.

I'm declining.
