LSU needs badly for DeBoer to fail so that they can keep up their false narratives:
OMGard .. We were only mid-tier 'cause of Sabah ...
OMGard ... Without Sabah at Alabamas (so the story goes) we woulda won 8 NC's.
They also need it to cover for another myth: that Tiger Stadium is so tough to play in at night for opponents.
No one is afraid of drunk, yelling corndoggers in BR. No one is even remotely impressed with that s***.

We owned LSU long before Saban came to Tuscaloosa. Louisiana State has never been much more than a mid tier SEC school until Saban got there.
