Liberty is a good team. They play a slow it down, defensive style of game.
LSU beat them by almost twice the point spread.
The rest of the SEC is scared again.

Liberty didn't cause LSU to commit a bunch of stupid fouls, miss a bunch of shots around the rim, not shoot good from the outside and not move the ball well on offense. We even threw an inbounds pass to no one that went to the bench. 
We picked it up on defense as the game went on. But, all in all, it was not a good performance.
Outside of Days we were 3 of 12 from 3. He was 5 of 11. If we can't find someone else to shoot well consistently, this team will struggle when conference play starts.
There aren't many returning players and we lost our best player to injury. So, some growing pains are to be expected. Hopefully we can build on an ugly win over a good team. But, gonna have to play way better than that to get a top 4 seed in the SECT much less be the best team in the conference.

It’s almost as if it’s only game 3 of the season.
Of course they have to get better, and they will. But in the mean time, they are still putting up impressive wins.
And to correct, a good defensive team absolutely causes you to get out of flow on offense and can make the game look ugly. Liberty is built on defense and a methodical offense.

I'm happy that we won. But, when someone says that we will be the best team in the SEC then we start breaking it down. It's two different conversations.

We have won more games than any sec team last 3 years. I expect LSU to finish no lower than top 5 in conference and potential to be in the running for conference championship to begin the 3rd quarter of conference schedule. Make no mistake this is a rebuild year for lsu but we got some dogs. Last year we were missing the height this year we have the height, dwpth and the athletes to compete with any one in the country.
All depends on how fast they gel and if we can get some more reliable outside shooting other than days.
