Reports vary to certain degrees in what some consider athletic escrow vs educational funding.. None of this should be taken at face value. Ask any CPA worth his/her salt.
Fall/Spring 2018/19.. most recent.
These numbers are pretty close to accurate as we'll ever see as it relates to hard/repeat revenue.
Sure hurts as a Texas fan, worst decade ever for big 3 sports & the money is still rolling. The administration is happy as a fat cat/no need to change.

Sure.
When you drop the “faggies.”
The difference is that one of these is true.

LSU took Aggy's best AD of all-time from them for 50k.
Never forget.
Aggy picked up Ole Miss’s wallered-out sloppy seconds.
Never forget.

Spring is a lovey area. We enjoyed our time there but the property taxes in a new development were too expensive for me so we moved to the Woodlands. Got less bang for our buck house wise, but yearly taxes were cut in half.

Oak Ridge is not The Woodlands, broke dick.

If i do remember correctly, very recently LSU athletics were facing a shut down due to a lack of money.

LSU is one the maybe 10 ADept's that kick money back to the University.
LSU ADept has been top 10% in revenue since I can recall.
Every AD will feel the economic stress of this recent crisis. I can't even put my head around it yet in regards to the ripple effect if the 2020 season is effected in CFB.
Good news is the motivation to have a 2020 CFB season is sky high/imperative. It literally must happen in some fashion.

LSU was the only major athletic program that was annually kicking money back to the University, without ever receiving a dime from the University.
Those days are long gone with Scott Woodward driving the bus.

I think there are 10/15 or so 100% "self funded", but LSU is certainly in that mix & in my opinion gets the most respect as that kick back to the admin was/is crucial.
EDIT:
LINK
23 were self funded in '16. I think roughly 10 of those kick $5M back to the university admin each year. Texas kicks $10-$25M annually.
It'll be interesting how many can pass that test in 2020. My guess is zero.

They took Bill Byrne?
National Titles under Byrne's watch: 10
National Titles under Woodward's watch: 1
Byrne's problem was the same as his problem at Nebraska. He sucked at managing football.

Not sure Byrne had enough full control @ either spot, not sure many AD's do when it comes to football.

My biggest complaint about Robert Gates was that he didn't give Byrne the authority to hire the football coach. Allegedly Byrne wanted Urban Meyer.

Ouch.
Dodds was in transit to KC to meet/lock down Gary Barnett when he got the word they had secured Mack behind his back.
We all have a boss in some place or some way.

Sherrill crawled into the SWC HQ's a few years after y'all parted ways with him & asked the Commish to help him with a job search (divorces & floundering car dealerships were catching up to him). Commish respectfully said "I can't consciously do that".. soon gets a call from the MSU AD wanting some feedback on Jackie.
AD tells MSU Pres & Board "no way".. thinks it's done & gets a call a few days later "we hired him without you".
Boosters.
