I see it differently.. we did not buy a coach .. we bought a program.. our present program is not functional.. head coach.. support staff.. losing recruiting swag.. diminished reputation..
This “purchase” immediately made our program not just functional but enhanced.. offense coaching appears fixed.. recruiting moving positive .. reputation swag back ,
We could have got an up and coming coach and over a few years got there.. but with this plan we went from zero to ninety.. almost overnight.. that savings in time and financial impact … more tickets.. donations.. sales of souvenirs.. hotels immediately instead of slowly growing over future years is a lot of money .
Plus I am older and tomorrow is no guarantee…

I think it's the only way to get a good one these days. I can imagine how much we'll have to pay for the next guy once our fans get tired of being a punchline when we play Georgia or OSU.
