The problem is that it doesn't matter if the AD is willing to spend what is industry standard amounts of money, its that apparently a standard contract is so much money to the poor folks of Louisiana that politicians will get involved the moment the contract is announced.
No top tier coach wants that smoke when they can get paid the same at Penn State or Florida and not have the governor take shots at how much money they are making.
