Why is Monday even a topic of discussion?
Everyone else "affected" is playing Sat or Sun?
Why do you and every AL fan persist in needling stupid shite like this, when the obvious is staring you in the face.
frickin Democrats

LSU fans have been claiming all day that Alleva offered to play Monday. Not me.

You argue about Monday, you argue about empty, as if we wouldn't play in front of a crowd.
I'm sure you argued the definition of "is" w Bill Clinton when he was getting blown in the Oval Office.
I don't see where LSU or Alleva have to defend a damn thing here.
It's common sense. There's another conference game taking place Sunday w the same issues, and games from other conferences will also be played. It's embarrassing.
I don't blame FL for trying to use every advantage they can to benefit from the situation, but your conference commissioner compounds a hardship w more hardships, and now sets a precedent that can only lead to future confusion and less control.

They don't. Just don't say they said things that they didn't say.

It should be apparent he is trying his best to toe the company line here, just as he has had to the past couple seasons regarding our coaching situation.
I really don't need any semantics to tell me everything I need to know about why this game wasn't played.

Yet they've failed to produce a single quote that backups that assertion. They've offered to play in BR which is another home game for them, puts UF in BR for 3 straight years and to play in an empty BHG stadium. How do any of those benefit UF? They'd lose millions. Yet LSU fans get pissed at the idea of having to play 3 straight road games, losing the USA game and money. Each team is acting in their own self interest. LSU just threw a temper tantrum because UF said no at giving in to their proposal.

How did the other 5 games "affected" manage to play their games at the scheduled venue within 24 hrs of the scheduled time?

quote:what truth? All week he's been publicly challenging fla to a game anywhere, anytime. And how do you know he's lying, mindreader?
Sounds like he got busted and now he's scared for the truth to be brought out

That is irrelevant given the information available at the time of UFs announcement that HM was going to directly impact GVille

There were multiple choices proposed to Foley by LSU, including dates and times in Gainesville this weekend, and he refused all of them. That is straight out of Aleva's mouth.
Why would Foley shoot them all down? Serious question?

quote:what else do you want him to do? He's publicly calling out fla. It's clear lsu wants the game and is willing to do just about anything to play it. All fla has done is stall, obfuscate and postpone. Frickin wimps. Oh but lsu wants out of the fla series. Losers.
just pure posturing

There is only ONE host team that couldn't manage to play.
I guess their projected path for Hurricane Matthew was to exit the Earth's atmosphere and re-enter above Ben Hill-Griffin Stadium?
You should be very proud of your AD's abilities and the stroke your school has in our conference.
My issues are solely w the SEC. I haven't travelled within the conference for several years now, and refuse to support any school from the conference. I no longer watch the NFL, and the writing is on the wall that I will shortly be giving up my 9 season tickets to LSU.
It's no longer about determining champions in sport, it's just entertainment, and I have been less entertained by the year.

I'm not sure "every solution" is anywhere close to accurate.
LSU has nothing to gain by allowing this game to be cancelled. Florida has much much more to gain by allowing this game to be cancelled.

quote:first, that not what he was "supposed" to do genius. He was supposed to play this weekend and he tried. He can't help it that Fla turned into a special needs program. Second, why is that asinine option necessary when there are LOTS of options still open for THIS WEEKEND. Baton Rouge stands to lose millions all because the gators are squealing like deliverance pigs
The SEC pays off USA and Pres and you play the game like you were supposed to.

Tennessee did that on a Monday in 2005 after Katrina. Of course they aren't raging vaginas and cowards, so.....

quote:and you know this how? I'm pretty sure you don't know jack crap about this situation. Alleva's out in public saying he'll play. Foley is running to the lame lsu series excuse. What a loser.
He's lying out of his arse

This is why you make the call to relocate on Wednesday. It's what everybody in hurricane areas have to do at some point. These cowards chose to forfeit instead.

quote:there it is! The customary, juvenile, intentional misrepresentation of what SEVERAL teams want. In the meantime, Alleva's throwing down the gauntlet to anyone who will listen which totally destroys the anti lsu narrative.
Is the same AD who's tried to end the UF series the last several years because it's unfair to play such a hard team
