it's funny how you guys prop up Fayettville so much. if only you had a major city in your state.

Seriously, who needs tailgating when you have 130-something suites?

Tailgating is for poor people. See Ole Miss.

This is true, Tailgating is almost as pathetic as sneaking in flasks because you do not have a suit stocked up with all the liquor and beer you could desire.

read the OP. your town is nice for its size, but it is nothing special.

I've been in plenty of major cities that suck arse.

Fayetteville is a great town, regardless of population.

it's a nice college town. pretty boring if you've traveled outside of Arkansas.

Meh, I still don't see what you're getting at.

I like Fayetteville and NWA fine. Pretty much every big city amenity you could want, minus the crime and bullshite.

Fayetteville is a college town and is best compared to other college towns, of course you can't compare it to a major city or a tourist destination, and as far as college towns go it's pretty damn solid.

Fayetteville has several great original restaurants. BenCo has the good chains like PF Changs and Ruth's Chris.

I've lived in big cities. No, there really aren't any coke-head bars or more than a couple gay bars.

Upscale shopping? Like what? There's no Saks or Barney's NY, but there's plenty of places to get high end clothes, furniture, etc.

it's pretty fricking funny when people say major cities are better than smaller towns based on bullshite like pro teams and upscale dining. I've lived two of the biggest cities in the US and I love Fayetteville more than both.

for me it's scenery, the place is in the middle of the Ozark Mountains and is full of biking/hiking trails, rivers and lakes. and for a city it's size is very clean and well kept.
