Do you think they will need more than 7 in the box?
Pretty sure it'll depend on the play and formation, lol. And they'll be audibles and shite, our defense is fancy.

Well this LSU fan believes Bama's front 7 is the best LSU will face this year and is the best two position groups on Bama's team.
I also think LSU's OL and RBs will be the best Bama will face this year.
As intriguing as this match up is, many other factors will also determine the winner in the game.

Absolutely agree. It's going be things like special teams, penalties (hopefully lack their of cause we've had so many false starts and illegal formations), turnovers, etc will be the real determine factors.

From TR post.
I don't know who the fricking idiot was on the radio, but I assure you he is a fricking idiot probably never played a fricking down in his life.
From Day one LSU was projected to have one of best Three Olines in SEC which means the nation along with Georgia and Arkansas. Some had Bama and Ole Miss in the mix too. (I have post on this) If you played offensive line or football ever, you would realize that LSU's offensive line is exceptional this year and probably the best in the SEC. They are built to run and move the ball but also generally have done a solid job at pass blocking.......
Now Bamas's front 7 is also exceptional and built to stop the run.
This is a classic chess match, intractable force versus immovable object. Both teams will try to establish the run and control line of scrimmage. Saban will do this to protect Coker who has a propensity to turn the ball over. Les just likes 3 yards and cloud of dust.
......Bama's Defense had always been big and brawny and they can be worn out like in 2009 but you have to have the depth and skill players to match them to do that. The only teams that could possibly do that are LSU, Ohio State, Michigan State, and maybe Stanford and maybe this year Clemson. Otherwise, they do to everyone what they did to ARky and wear u out at the end. Also, we need Harris to run for 100 yards more than LF.
And we need the mad hatter, he gets under Saban's skin and his unpredictability fires up the team. Lets go for it on 4th down, punt on third, open the game with an onside kick. It sends a message we are fricking nuts and not going to lose.
We will not get our arse handed to us by Bama's Dline. We will win some and lose some, but winner of that battle will likely win the game. (Everyone will celebrate the great LF runs and Harris throws, while some of us will watch the great blocks and 4 seconds he had to throw the ball.)

If you think LSU doesn't respect your best players before you play them, just wait until the week before the Iron Bowl. You can bet the house an Auburn reserve defensive back will say something.

Brandon Harris is talented. He has done good things at QB for LSU. However, not having experienced a Bama front 7 such as fielded this year will be very challenging for him. He will make mistakes. Add to this a secondary which is coming on quite nicely now & it could spell disaster for him if not too careful. You can also include Jacob Coker in this same situation regarding LSU. Whichever QB performs the best under these circumstances will greatly increase their teams chances of pulling out a victory.

The harder and more important question to answer in my opinion is how successful will Bama's offense be against LSU's D.
Well Arkansas and UT were able to hold that offense in check for the most part. I'd say if your offense plays even close to that way vs LSU, you lose by 2 scores easily.
