LSU was the only team in history to make the BCS championship game with 2 losses.
Yet their fanbase has a bigger martyr complex than any other fanbase.
It is odd.
Back then, LSU fans felt strength of schedule was more important than record. They felt the “better” LSU team, despite 2 losses, should get in over several other 1 loss teams. Yet now they all feel that record should trump strength of schedule. Today they feel any, absolutely any, 2 loss team should be in ahead of a 3 loss team. I wonder what changed?

This is an interesting phenomenon no doubt, but I’d just like to add that many of them have been even more shameless. Many have said essentially “I’m ok with three loss teams, as long as they aren’t named Alabama, because Alabama has hurt my feelings.”
