LSU fans. More satisfying upset, 93' Alabama or 97' Florida?

Both Alabama and Florida were coming off national titles those years, undefeated, and were heavy favorites.

Easily 97 UF because thats the only time Spurrier lost to LSU while at UF

97 UF.

Coach Stallings was a class act and UA was a fine team. Great 'when pigs fly win'. But I really hated Spurrier/UF....really, really, really hated.

97 Florida...but 93 Bama was a lot of fun in BDS!

Interesting though that even in our worst decade ever by far we still managed to knock off two defending National Champs who came into the game unbeaten.

Hmmm tough call

I'll go 93 cause that team had no chance to win that game

97 LSU had turned it around in 95-96

Yeah kind of why I picked the two games. 97' Florida was definitely better than 93 Bama', but 97' LSU was also decisively better than 93' LSU.

2013 Bama, aTm, UF, UGA, Ole Miss, MSU, Auburn, and TCU will all be pretty satisfying upsets as well.

Oct 9 1993 UF 58 LSU 3

LSU had no business beating Bama that day, no biz

So that in reality is the greater upset

Yeah but that 97 game was at night in Death Valley. That stadium and the atmosphere our fans create plays such a big role in our tradition and obviously even after a few good seasons under Dinardo at that point that stadium hadn't had a whole lot of signature moments in the previous 8-10 years (95 Auburn being one of the few) so for that reason it fits more in the lore of LSU football than a random upset that Hallman pulled on the way to yet another losing season.

Yeah, I can definitely go with 93 UA being a bigger upset...but the OP modifier satisfying...I really hated Spurrier/UF.

Unless LSU just tanks early in the season, I'm pretty sure yall will be favored against UF.
