LSU fans - what was the deal with Kevin Smith getting into it with students pregame?

Dude was trash talking the Ole Miss student section during pregame. Not a good look for a coach.

I was hoping all the LSU and Ole Miss he said/he said would slow down after the game was actually played.

He got punched in the pace maker by a kid at Kyle in a fight he started. He said he was the victim so he wouldn't get in trouble and used the pace maker to get pity.

This really isn’t “he said/he said” because it’s on video, but regardless, I don’t think the interaction is noteworthy beyond Kevin’s ego being put on display.
