scar played tough last night, the d was on the field the whole damn game

latt didnt get alot of yards we gang tackled him for the most part but he made alot of 2-3 yard runs look impressive

clown and the crew got handled up front by our oline, first time since washington that has happen, dont get me wrong clowney made some plays but i remember seeing lemonier and the guys from florida just destroy our offense, and all i heard all week was that scar had the best dline in the country.... not so much

Points: LSU-23, USC-21 NOT domination. We did what we needed to do to keep the game close and give ourselves a chance to win. Mett was awful but we couldn't stop the run. The TOP is the most important stat of the game. Our D was tired in the 4th. Just be happy with the win.

Yep, LSU beat SC in the same fashion UF beat LSU, our offense was smothered and our D held off for as long as the could before they finally let one slip by.

Good question.

Although we really did dominate SC on both sides of the ball not just on defense. But man we really suck balls in the red zone.

pretty much IMO...both LSU's D vs Florida and USCe's defense vs LSU got worn down

hopefully i can explain some of my tiger brethren's domination claim

we scored 23 pts, and gained over 400 yards, previously we scored a combined 18 points against 3 sec opponents

also judging from what we seen with LSU/Florida and the scar/uGa game the previous week, everyone thought we were in for another disappointing week

either way good game cocks, you dont just stroll into death valley @ tiger stadium in Baton Rouge LA and expect to walk out with a W

All the stats in the world doesn't help support a "domination" claim when SC was leading most of the game.

Was SC ever in control of the game? Certainly not but this whole idea of 'domination' and that we were somehow run out of the building is outlandish. And yeah LSU gifted us a TD via the INT but Shaw's awful INT also gifted LSU points which would ultimately be the deciding factor.

Yeah, aside from florida out gaining us by 37, and LSU outgaining yall by 200, the games were pretty much identical.

But I agree with the domination part. 400 yards of offense against a top 10 defense isn't domination, that's just sad.

Again, yards mean little if you get stuffed in the red zone.

For example, what good was LSU's 60 or so yards on the drive they had (I think it was) when they had a missed FG?

worthless about as meaningful as south carolina's wins over the east last year, what good is it when you cant beat the teams out the west?

Bringing up useless games from last season?

eta: If you want a literal answer to that question it actually seems to help quite a bit on the recruiting front.

Last night there were several plays where USC's DL and DB's knocked away several passes before the WR's had a chance. They did a great job keeping their hands up. Two likely would have been TD's without their presence. One was to Wright(tipped by DB), and another was to Boone(tipped at the line by Clowney). Both were on target and the WR's had steps on the defenders. Especially Boone.

well playing in the national championship does help recruiting as does winning an sec championship something carolina might not never see but anywho it applies to this year seeing as how you might beat all the teams out the east again but still not win your side of the conference
