It's been that drastic of a change with Welter on the bench, seriously, he was the worst starting LB in the SEC. He did absolutely nothing, when he got blocked he was completely taken out of ever making a play, couldn't shed blocks.

When he was unblocked he just whiffed on a tackle when it was 1 on 1.

You must not have watched AU much last year. Again, good LB plays helps, but not to the numbers that we have seen.

We went from the worst MLB in the SEC to arguably one of the best. Beckwith is THAT good.

Welter started the first 6 games and has played some in the last 4 and has FIVE solo tackles on the season. That is absolutely pathetic a MLB cant average even 1 solo tackle a game. That shows you how awful he was.

Alabama's offense isn't as good as Auburn's. There, now you have the answer you were looking for.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Anybody who watched the LSU vs Bama game could tell how much better LSU's defense played in that game. But Aubie just looking for another moral victory.

In particular Beckwith at LB

This and the young DT are stepping up and getting adjusted to playing SEC ball. This D will be sick next year. Just saying

The LSU improvement this year is similar to AU's last year. Denying that LSU is a different team now than they were 6 weeks ago is ignorant.

ETA: it's not just Beckwith. LSU is playing freshman and sophomores at DT. Those guys struggled early and now have grown up and are playing big boy football.

the d-line is playing a lot better too. rasco actually looks healthy and is making plays. hunter may be inconsistent at times but teams know they have to account for him. godchaux has been improving. and of course, beckwith. also, kwon alexander is a monster.
